A Psychologist Who Helps You Build Real Skills

My Approach

I help clients move from insight to action using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. I work with children, adolescents, and adults.

We’ll focus on building practical skills to manage anxiety, face fears, and break unhelpful patterns. Whether you’re struggling with worry, panic, or intrusive thoughts, the goal is lasting change so you can live without being controlled by fear or avoidance.

My Background & Commitment to You

I’m Chelsea Tucker, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist and founder of CT Psychological. I earned my Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island and have more than a decade of experience providing evidence-based treatment for anxiety and related concerns. Rather than following a standard formula, I tailor treatment to your specific difficulties, goals, strengths, and the factors that are keeping the problem going, while also considering your background, identity, and lived experiences.

You'll learn practical skills and have opportunities to practice them between sessions so you can begin using them in everyday life.

My style is warm, direct, and active. Together, we'll identify clear goals, develop a step-by-step plan, and regularly evaluate your progress so treatment stays focused on what works. My goal is to help you build the skills and confidence to navigate future challenges independently.

Three-Phase CBT Approach

  • 1. Assessment & Goal Setting

We begin with a comprehensive evaluation to understand your unique history, strengths, and the patterns that are holding you back. Together we define clear goals and a focused plan for moving forward.

  • 2. Skill Building

You’ll learn practical CBT skills to identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns, build emotional flexibility, and respond more effectively to challenges.

  • 3. Exposure & Real-World Practice

Lasting change happens through action. We’ll gradually and supportively face feared situations so new skills become second nature and confidence builds over time.

Ready to move forward? I help clients go from feeling stuck in anxiety to building clarity, confidence, and practical tools for lasting change.
