A Psychologist Who Helps You Build Real Skills
My Approach
I help clients move from insight to action using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. I work with children, adolescents, and adults.
We’ll focus on building practical skills to manage anxiety, face fears, and break unhelpful patterns. Whether you’re struggling with worry, panic, or intrusive thoughts, the goal is lasting change so you can live without being controlled by fear or avoidance.

My Background & Commitment to You
I’m Chelsea Tucker, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist and founder of CT Psychological. With over a decade of clinical experience and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island, my work is grounded in both research and real-world practice. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Treatment is guided by evidence and tailored to your specific needs.
I believe therapy should be empowering, not mysterious. You’ll learn practical skills so you can apply them confidently in your daily life.
Our work is collaborative and focused. It’s structured and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on building skills you can use outside of sessions. I’m warm, direct, and actively engaged so we can make meaningful progress, not just talk about it. My approach is culturally responsive and considers your background and identity. We’ll define clear goals, take a clear, step-by-step approach to reaching them, and regularly evaluate what’s working. This is the kind of work that leads to meaningful, lasting change.

Three-Phase CBT Approach
-
1. Assessment & Goal Setting
We begin with a comprehensive evaluation to understand your unique history, strengths, and the patterns that are holding you back. Together we define clear goals and a focused plan for moving forward.
-
2. Skill Building
You’ll learn practical CBT skills to identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns, build emotional flexibility, and respond more effectively to challenges.
-
3. Exposure & Real-World Practice
Lasting change happens through action. We’ll gradually and supportively face feared situations so new skills become second nature and confidence builds over time.
Ready to move forward? I help clients go from feeling stuck in anxiety to building clarity, confidence, and practical tools for lasting change.
